Wayne Norris Ramsey, Sr.

Wayne Norris Ramsey, 84, of Fincastle, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Wayne was a retired truck driver with Overnite Transportation and United Parcel Service. He was preceded in death by his wife; Charlotte Ann Niday Ramsey; parents, Sidney L. and Emma Fields Ramsey; and a number of brothers and sisters. Survivors include his son, Edward West and daughter, Donna Dunbar, both of Fincastle; grandchildren, Les Dunbar, Jr. (Christine), Brian Lee Dunbar, Sr., Chelsea and Evan Gilliam, Michael Craft, and Jacob West; great-grandchildren, Heather (Harley) Hodges, Hunter and Jared Monaghan, Brian, Jr., Logan, Cammie, and Sophie Dunbar; and brothers, Fred Ramsey of Banner Elk, NC and Sam Ramsey of Delaware, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Milton Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery ~ Fincastle. The family will receive friends Thursday. December 21. 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
