Warren Lorraine Stevens

Warren Lorraine Stevens, 91, of Fincastle, passed away peacefully Friday, November 2, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Allen Marshall Stevens; daughter, Susan Stevens Myers; parents, Herbert E. and Sally Spigle Stevens. Warren was the last of ten siblings and a member of the VFW, serving in WWII where he received a Purple Heart and Silver Star. He was a dedicated dairy farmer, who loved the land, and being outdoors. He is survived by his son, David Allen Stevens and wife, Evelyn of Fincastle; daughter, Connie Stevens Robeson and husband, Steve of Berryville; son-in-law, Harold Myers of Troutville; grandchildren, Marshall Haden Myers and wife, Kristie, Susanne Myers Marshall and husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Bryce Alexander and Blake Ashton Marshall and Kayla Marie and Konner Michelle Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Wheatland Lutheran Church with Rev. Cecie Haxton officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. Special thanks to the Nurses, Staff, and other residents of the Glebe and the Carrington Place for their care and compassion during Warren's stay.
