Virginia Wallace Schechterly

SCHECHTERLY Virginia "Cubby" Virginia "Cubby" Nettie Wallace Schechterly, 77, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ike Schechterly and Chester Schechterly and a member of the Women of the Moose. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, E.D. and Bonnie Schechterly of Roanoke; granddaughter, Mirandia Gouker and husband, Matt; step-daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tom Babcock of PA; sister, Frances Cook of Fincastle; brother, Zane Wallace of Texas, Teresa Schechterly a close family friend; nephews, Greg Cook, and Del Schechterly; special friends, Peg and Peri Urvek of CA; and long time close friend, Cindy Harper and many others who were near and dear to her heart. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday, November 10, 2011 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
