Virginia Dodd Vassar Swartz

Virginia Dodd Vasser Swartz, 93, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012. Mrs. Swartz was a member of the Lithia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dennis Swartz; parents, James and Mable Simmons Vasser; brothers and sisters, Lillian Vasser Smith, Evelyn Vasser Moren, Inez Vasser, Joyce Vassar, James Vassar, and Buddy Vassar. She is survived by her children, Barbara S. and Bobby Falls, Cathy S. and R.D. Henderson, and Larry W., Sr. and Shirley Swartz, all of Buchanan; brother, W. Edward Vasser of Buchanan; grandchildren, Dennis Falls, Angie Falls Bryan, Tim Falls, Lynn Falls, Kevin Swartz, Larry Wayne Swartz, Jr., Darren Swartz, Erin Henderson, and Dana Folks; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; special niece, Sandra Gray; and special friend, Dianne Rice Bryant. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, April 12, 2012 in the Lithia Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Those wishing to make a contribution, please consider the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department and the Buchanan Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11,2012 from 6 to 8 pm.
