LINKENHOKER Violet Craft Violet Craft Linkenhoker, 84, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. "Jim" Linkenhoker, Sr.; parents, James Benny and Lucy Ella Wright Craft; brothers, Mason, Lewis, Ott, and Willie Craft; sisters, Nell Craft and Frances C. Sawyers; twin grandsons, William Bradley and Wesley Brandon Long; and son-in-law, Tommy Childress. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James F., Jr. "Crickett" and Tina C. Linkenhoker of Fincastle; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelby "Susie" Childress of Buchanan, Becky and Freddie Ballard of Springwood, Penny Gale Long and friend, Tony Wood of Fincastle; former son-in-law, Billy Long; grandchildren, Greg Childress and spouse, Tina, Troy James "T.J." Linkenhoker, Samantha Renee Linkenhoker, Andrew William Long and Meagan Elizabeth Long; great-grandson, Tyler Childress; special nephew and foster brother, Lynwood Loving Craft; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Harold E. Cook, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
