Thelma Staton Smith

Thelma Staton Smith, 83, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, April 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Smith; parents, Mack and Nannie Staton; brothers, M.P. and Roger Staton; and sisters, Arlene Fox and Laurena Hamm. Survivors include her siblings and spouses, Vernon Staton; William and Darlene Staton; W.K. Staton; Shirley and Ronnie Reid all of Buena Vista; and Deloris and Robbie Roberts of Montana; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Mike Niday of Buchanan and Shirley Helmick of Natural Bridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in High Bridge Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
