Teresa Gail Downey Hart

Teresa Downey Hart, 57, of Troutville, passed away on December 28, 2015. Teresa was born in Staunton, VA on November 4, 1958. She was a 1976 graduate of Fort Defiance High School and had resided in Troutville, VA for the past 30 years. Teresa, better known as "T" was many things to many people with a multitude of talents. Her love of music and children were obvious to those close in her circle. She was well known in the Troutville and Buchanan communities always in wearing blue jeans, flannel shirts, and boots as she sported around in her red jeep wrangler. She was well known in the Smith Mountain Lake area as she sported around on her jet ski. Teresa was bold without fear and the life of the party. She leaves behind her son, Dusty Hart, who was the light of her life and his father, George Hart both of Troutville, VA. Teresa is survived by her mother and step-father, Patsy and Danny Sine of Verona, VA; sisters, Linda Newlen of Stuarts Draft, VA; Anna Noland of Covington, VA and Darlene Sheaves of Weyers Cave, VA; step-siblings, Tina Bryant, Tammy Sine, and Terry Sine all of southwest Virginia. She also leaves behind a multitude of cherished cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2015 from 3-6pm at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 3pm at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft, VA.
