Sylvia Stinnett Mason

Sylvia Stinnett Mason, 81, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe, Sr. and Fannie Lyle Stinnett; sisters, JoAnne Spangler and Kathy Agnor; and brother-in-law, Bernard Mason. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Douglas B. Mason, Sr.; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas, Jr. and Laura Mason; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Alan Bedell, Kristie and Mark Winand; grandchildren, Crystal and Ryan Eanes, Evan Gilliam and Chelsea Dunbar, Olivia Gilliam, Madison Bedell, Douglas “Bucky” Mason, III and Dustin Winand; great-grandchildren, Cora and Jameson Eanes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Angela and Cecil Bryant, Carol Sue Hayslett, Bob Agnor, and James Mason; brother and sister-in-law, Joe Jr. and Linda Stinnett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue squad for their much appreciated help many times. Flowers are beautiful but the family requests donations be made to either department. Funeral Services will be held 1pm, Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eagle Rock Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
