Suzanne Elizabeth Joyce

Suzanne E. Joyce, 61, of Buchanan, VA passed away Saturday morning, October 1, 2016 at her home with her family at her bedside. Suzanne was a long-time resident of Hastings, NY and a graduate of SUNY at Binghamton, NY. She was an accomplished and successful sales/marketing representative for Premier Products and Medco, and is remembered not only for her competence, but for her exceptional kindness and compassion, both professionally and personally. Suzanne was the daughter of Michael Decapite, a journalist and author and Natalie Whiting-Decapite, an editor and reference librarian of Cleveland, OH and Queens, NY, respectively both deceased. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Joyce, their daughter, Aiden Joyce; son-in-law, Jordan Heath Joyce; grandchildren, Audrey and Noah; brother, Phillip Decapite; as well as her paternal aunts, Marie and Sally Decapite and first cousin, Michael Decapite of Cleveland, OH and NY, NY, respectively. Suzanne will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Memorial Services will be held 6pm, Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home.
