Sidney Edmond Brewbaker

Sidney Edmond Brewbaker, 67, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. and Kathryn Craft Brewbaker; and sister, Rachel Corell. Sid retired from Virginia Tech Purchasing Department with over 30 years of service and was an active member of the Old Dominion Historical Fire Society. He also enjoyed auctions, where he bought and sold antiques and collectibles. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Minnie Henderson Brewbaker; sons and daughter-in-law, Jake and Angela Brewbaker of Columbia, SC; Nathan Brewbaker and Melanie Gilmore of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Tyler, Kathryn, Sydney, and Thomas; sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Dave Smith of Roanoke; brother-in-law, R.D. Henderson and wife, Cathy; his North Star family; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial Services will be held 1pm Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating.
