Shirley Margaret Charles Blackner

Shirley Margaret Charles Blackner, 73, of Troutville, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Lula Charles and two brothers. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Frank J. Blackner; two daughters, Joyce Ann Tate and Valarie Blackner-Johnson; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Ora Gayenelle Boone; and brother, John Lee Charles. Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday, January 4, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, 254-3000.
