Samuel Ray Mozingo

Samuel “Ray” Mozingo, 79, of Vinton, took Jesus’ hand and entered his eternal home on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. All who knew Ray, quickly learned he had the gift of gab. This ability to talk to anyone served him well, as an Uber driver, while in the hospital, or talking to others, he shared the gospel with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Franklin Mozingo and Lula Myrtle Foster. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Margaret Mozingo; his children, Kimberly, Kevin, D’Nita, Samantha, and Nicole; stepchildren, Tammy, Dawn, Kim, and Michelle; and numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 1, 2021, at the East Gate Church of Nazarene. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to Ray’s celebration service.
