Samuel Cordice Handy

Samuel Cordice Handy, 93, of Troutville, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernander and Roberta Handy; wife, Pauline Kelley Handy; sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Clyde Yates, brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Avis Handy, Brooks and Bea Handy, and Robert Handy. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis H. and Norman Richards of Bedford Co.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Earl Pugh of Madison Heights; sister-in-law, Gloria Handy of Williamson, KY; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1pm Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Burrell Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Botetourt Funeral Home. 254-3000
