Samantha Jane Buckmaster

Samantha Jane Buckmaster, 19 months, of Callao, VA, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015. She was born June 19, 2013 in Winston Salem, NC to parents, Robert Buckmaster and Laura Moore. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Ronald Goad. A fun loving child, always ready to explore, Sam had recently discovered the fun of kicking her feet in her daddy's truck to beat of JayZ and loved to have people sing to her. She would completely light up when someone she loved walked in the door with the biggest smile and open arms. She was an absolute daddy's girl. Her life was over almost before it had begun and the void she leaves feels unfillable; Sam is survived by her parents, Robert (Julie) Buckmaster and Laura Moore; paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Gary Dodson; maternal grandparents, Rheta Jane and David Monroe, Carlton and Kim Coleman; uncles, Garrett Dodson, Shane Reid, and Keith Acheson; siblings, Gabriel Ray and Izabella Rose; great-grandparents, Rosalie Hamilton Goad; Marion and Doug Diass; and B. Anderson Dodson; great-uncles, Greg (Gesile) and Larry (Shelia) Newcomb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose heart she captured. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Pastors John Hackworth and Lee McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery.
