Ruth Mcdaniel Camper

Ruth McDaniel Camper, 86 of Buchanan, died Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was born October 3,1938, in Front Royal, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry McDaniel and Lucy McDaniel Morris, and nephew, Ronald Patrick McDaniel.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence C. Camper, and sons and daughters-in-law, Henry and Karen Camper of Evington; Gary and Judy Camper of Forest; Carl and Lisa Camper of Goode; and Eric Camper and Janice Hansen of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Lauren Camper, Ryan Camper, Kathryn Camper Shiraishi (Andrew), Kristen Camper, Kyle Camper, and Morgan Camper King (Thomas); step-granddaughter, Kelly Eastman; and great-grandchild, Julian Shiraishi. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Lois and George Hodges of Roanoke, and brother, Henry McDaniel of Plattsburgh, NY; nephews, Steve Hodges of Germantown, MD, and Darrell McDaniel of Fredericksburg, and many other relatives in the Crouch, McDaniel, and Camper families.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Buchanan Baptist Church, P. O. Box 537, Buchanan, VA 24066, or to St. Jude's Research Hospital for children.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Buchanan Chapel of the Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, with Memorial Service following the visitation at 2:00 pm with Rev.
