Rosalie Green Cahoon

Rosalie Green Cahoon, 89, of Fincastle, passed away September 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Cline Cahoon; parents, Ballard and Ruby Painter Green; brothers, Marion and Barney Green; sister, Darlene Green Fleshman; brothers-in-law, George, Carl, and Frank Cahoon, and sisters-in-law, Ruth Edgecombe, Francis Green, and Lorene Lucas. She retired from the Botetourt County School System after a long career in many positions. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Joyce Cahoon; Steven and Charlotte Cahoon; granddaughters, Allyson Cahoon and fiancé, David Evans, and Samantha Cahoon; siblings and spouses, Mildred Drawbond, Madison Green, Ted and Candy Green, Donald and Annie Green, Willie and Norma Jean Green, Florence Bowyer and friend, Sam; sisters-in-law, Darys, Jenny, and Judy Cahoon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, October 1, 2021, at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Lee McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
