Robert Guy Bennett

Robert Guy Bennett, 66, of Fincastle, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Virginia Bennett and a member of Trinity Church of God. His is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara J. Bennett; children and spouses, Ronald Bennett of Fincastle; Steve Bennett, Don Bennett, and Sara Bennett all of West Virginia; and step-daughter, Tammy Clark and husband, Kenneth of Fincastle; a granddaughter he helped raise, Melissa Smythers and husband, Daryl; grandchildren, Sahara Clark, Justin Hertz, Jason Simmons, Christine Berg, and Laiken Bennett; great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Cooper Stewart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane and Jimmy Niday; Naomi Sponaugle; Bonnie and Gary Roadcap; and Paula and Sonny Crawford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lonnie Bennett and Linda; Harold and Honey Bennett; and Clifton and Rhoda Arbaugh; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, December 1, 2014, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Shaw and Rev. Rose Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior the service on Monday. Those wishing to make a donation, please consider Trinity Church of God.
