Robert "Bob" Donald Coffman

Robert "Bob" Donald Coffman, 88, of Daleville, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, William K. and Ida Garst Coffman; brothers, Percy, William, Russell, and Clarence; sisters, Mary, Edna, and Virginia; nephew, Warren; and nieces, Janice and Brenda. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Ruble Coffman; nieces, Margaret Oliver, Pat Pugh, Karen Harold, and Sharon Argabright; nephews, Ken, David, and Steve Coffman, and Michael Prease; cousins, Thelma Naff, Mary Frances, and Marvin Jacobs; special friends, the Kevin Jones Family and the David Heckman Family; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Bob was a lifelong member and active supporter to the Church of the Brethren and had retired from Appalachian Power Company with 35 years of service. He honorably served in the US Air Force. The family would like to thank the staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the folks at the Glebe for their loving care and all the much appreciated prayers. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan. Memorial Services will be held 11am Tuesday October 9, 2018 with visitation at 10am at Summerdean Church of the Brethren, 6604 Plantation Rd., Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camp Bethel, 328 Bethel Rd., Fincastle, VA 24090. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
