Peggy Sue Thomasson Broughman

Peggy Sue Thomasson Broughman, 84, of Eagle Rock, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Romie B. Thomasson, Sr. and Pauline Myers Thomasson; brothers, Henry (Hawkeye), Romie, Jr., and Robert. She was a active member of Eagle Rock Baptist Church serving as the Choir Director for many years. Peggy loved wearing her hats and hummingbirds. She loved her family deeply and is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe Everette Broughman, Sr.; daughter, Dianna (Tom) Bauman; sons, Joe E. Broughman Jr. and David (Ruth Ann) Broughman; sisters, Georgia Ayers and Della Hylton; and 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice and her nurse, Cali for the loving care shown to Peggy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16 from 11:00 to 12:00 pm in the Eagle Rock Baptist Church, 50 2nd Street, Eagle Rock. Her Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm with Pastor Billy Ronk officiating. Interment will be private.
