Pauline Myers Thomasson

Pauline Myers Thomasson, 96, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Romie B. Thomasson, Sr.; parents, Claude and Sarah Myers; son, Henry (Hawkeye) Thomasson; grandsons, Aaron and Stephen Morris; and sisters, Mary, Anna, Sylvia, and Ola Mae. She was the oldest member of the Buchanan Women of the Moose. She is survived by her children and spouses, Romie, Jr. and Marilyn Thomasson of Salem, KY; Georgia Ayers of Buchanan; Della and Bill Hylton of Buchanan; Peggy Sue and Joe Broughman of Eagle Rock; Robert Thomasson of Buchanan; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Special thanks to the Carrington Staff and caregivers and Medi Home Health Hospice for their loving care. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, December 26, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Buchanan Rescue Squad; PO Box 244, Buchanan, VA 24066.
