Patsy Marie Owen Deacon

Pasty Marie Owen Deacon, 79, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Sinetta Owen; brother, John Wayne Owen; and sisters, Dolly O. Quesenberry and Bobbie O. Deacon. Patsy was a hairdresser with her sister, Bobbie for many years; owned and operated Village Variety with her husband; and was the bookkeeper for the family business. She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Curtis Deacon; daughter, Crystal D. Young; son and daughter-in-law, Curtis H. and Debbie Deacon all of Buchanan; grandchildren, Amber Young, Morgan Deacon, and Owen Deacon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11am, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 915, Buchanan, VA 24066 or the Buchanan Baptist Church Building Fund PO Box 573, Buchanan, VA 24066. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
