Patricia Dillon Dooley

Patricia "Patty" Dillon Dooley, 71, of Fincastle, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lincoln and Virginia Mae Parker Dillon. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church. Patty had retired from The Fincastle Herald as an advertising executive. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles "Deuce" Raymond Dooley, with whom she celebrated their Golden Anniversary on October 28, 2012; daughter, Ramona L. Dooley of Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Wayne Humphrey of Roanoke; grandson, Charles C. Cook; a number of nieces and nephews; and her grand dogs, Tori and Alex. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Kesler officiating. Interment will be in Godwin Cemetery, Fincastle. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan. 540-254-3000.
