Norman Talbert Abshire

Norman Talbert Abshire, Sr., 80, of Front Royal, formerly of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest, Sr. and Lois Abshire; brothers, Ernest, Jr., and Roland Abshire; sister, Blanche Hammond; and son-in-law, James Bailey, III. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda Neal Abshire; children and spouses, Ronnie and Sharon Abshire, Vicky and Jeff Smith, Sheila and Dave Tyson, Wallace Abshire, Cyndi Bailey, and Norman Abshire, Jr; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nadine and Curtis Scaggs; Barbara and Floyd Markham; Shirley and Bill Dulaney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in Lithia United Methodist Church Cemetery.
