Mildred Lee Sloan

Mildred Lee "Millie" McDaniel Sloan, 86, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson Lawson and Mary Eunice Newcomb McDaniel, and her husband, Melvin Richard Sloan. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Roy Linkenhoker of Daleville, Sherry and Jerry Nelson of Buchanan; grandchildren, Brent Linkenhoker, Jennifer (Keith) Learn, and Kristin Sloan; great grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, and Melaina Learn. In abiding by her wishes, The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm, Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, followed by her memorial service at 2:00 pm. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Richards, Jessica, and the staff of Blue Ridge Cancer Care and Good Samaritan Hospice including Lyn Mowles and Anita Kent for all of their concern and loving care for Momma.
