Mildred Mae Crouch Markham, 70, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was retired from Groendyk Manufacturing, where she had been in Quality Control, a Production Operator, and a Union Representative. She was a life-long member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang in the church choir and the North Botetourt Chorus. She also was involved with the Electoral Board for Botetourt County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Markham, Jr.; parents, William Turner and Mary Hettie Goodwin Crouch; and grandson, Jesse Cole Markham. Survivors include her daughter, Pamala Markham and fiancée, Larry C. Woods; son and daughter-in-law, Harry B. "Bubs" III and Karen Markham, Robert "Snake" Markham, all of Buchanan; sisters, Obera Crouch of Trenton, New Jersey, Della Crouch Woodson of Eagle Rock, Katherine Sue Hickman of Buchanan, Patsy Cassell of Washington, Patricia "Pete" Monteith of Bedford; brothers, J. Hugh Crouch of Buchanan, Otho Crouch of Maryland, Aubrey, Bob, and Gary Crouch, all of Buchanan, grandchildren, Sheyanne D. Markham and boyfriend, William Joseph Riley III, Emily Renee Markham, Lane Issac Markham; step-granddaughter, Kaye Woods; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Cedar Bluff Baptist Church with Pastor Kelly Dampeer officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan.
