Michael "Golden Falcon" Steven Johns,

Michael Steven Johns, Sr., "Golden Falcon", 70, of Buchanan, walked home with a smile into the arms of Jesus on Monday, May 26, 2014. Michael had retired from Ingersoll-Rand in 1999. He loved to golf, do yard work, piddle with his mowers, and play with his grandkids. He was a member of the Monacan Indian Nation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ethel Branham Johns. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Pat Welch Johns; son and daughter-in-law, Michael (Ruth) Johns, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana (Randy) Albert, and Danielle (Jason) Robertson; grandchildren, Michael III and Michelle Johns, Emily (Paul) Wilkins, Charity, Autumn, and Elijah Robertson; step-grandson, Josh Albert; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Louie, Bobby, Sr., and Leon Johns; sisters, Goldie Hambrick and Queenie Clark; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Boone officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The Johns family will gather together on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 4 to 6 pm and friends are invited to join them from 6 to 8 pm at Botetourt Funeral Home 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va.
