Mattie "Jule" Powell Holdren

Prayers were answered when the pain and suffering ended for Mattie "Jule" Oberia Powell Holdren on December 8, 2017. Mattie was preceded in death by her husband, Hillary "Pete" Jack Holdren; parents, Walter and Ruth Powell; four brothers; a sister; and many more family members and friends. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Tammy (Andy) Guilliams and Gretchen Holdren and special friend, Kim Shafer; grandson, Hunter (Rachel) Guilliams; an expectant great-grandchild; granddaughter, Hilary Guilliams; special friend and care giver, Lena St. Clair; sisters-in-law, Rose Lee Hurst, Jean Powell, and Barbara Powell; special niece, Patsy Pierson; and many other nieces and nephews. Mattie had many friends from her years of employment at Burlington Industries in Glasgow. She will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Woody officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.
