Martha Jane Mundy Staton

Martha Jane Mundy Staton, 83, of Springwood, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Staton; daughter, Elizabeth "Libby" Markham; granddaughter, Heather Markham; parents, Otho Lee and Annie Vines Mundy; six brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Markham and Patrick Fridley of Springwood; Bert and Loretta Markham; Seth Markham; son-in-law, Gil Markham all of Eagle Rock; great-grandchildren, Jamie, Wesley, and Brookelyn Markham; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2pm Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert A. McRae officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan (254-3000)
