Mark Alan Simpson

Mark Alan Simpson, 62, of Fincastle, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023. Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Ann Wood Simpson in April 2020. He worked for Gilliam and Mundy Well Drilling Company for over 30 years. Mark loved hunting and fishing but excelled in his artistic abilities in drawing and carving.

Deborah Ann Wood Simpson, 63, of Fincastle, passed away on April 24, 2020. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Betty Hughes Wood; and her sister Kathy Wood Young. Debbie worked for Double Envelope in Roanoke as a machine operator. Debbie loved horseback riding and her puppy babies.

Survivors include thier daughters and sons-in-law, Mandi and Mike Myers and Tiffanie and Lee Hipes, all of Troutville; grandchildren;

Lucas Hipes and Madison Myers; parents, Marcus Alan Simpson and Belva Walker Simpson Richardson; Debbie's sisters, Sandra and David Montgomery, Annette and Eddie Clark; and Mark's sisters, Vickie and Ernie Stacey, Rhonda and Ronnie Benson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark and Debbie will have a combined memorial service that will be held in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 6:30 pm with Pastor Richard Ronk officiating. Interment will be private.
