Margie Susan Tolley Clark

Margie Susan Tolley Clark, 87, of Salem formally of Arcadia, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at her residence. Margie was the daughter of the late Oscar "Elmer" and Lenora Wells Tolley and was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur S. Clark in July 1988; granddaughter, Leslie Huffman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Vernon "Jimmy" (Sadie) Tolley, Roy (Annie) Tolley, Howard Tolley, Lewis "Mickey" (Louise) Tolley; sisters and brother-in-law, Lottie (George "GE") Talbert; brother-in-law, Eddie Humphreys; and daughter-in-law, Deborah Clark. Margie is survived by her children, Doris (James "Bud") Switzer of Roanoke; Cecil "Johnny" Clark of Natural Bridge; Sandra "Sandy" (Charles "Charlie") Ryder of Warm Springs; sister, Lucille Humphreys of Buena Vista; sister-in-law, Ann Tolley of Metuchen, NJ; eleven grandchildren and step-grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. William Fintel and staff at Blue Ridge Oncology, Good Samaritan Hospice and Staff, especially granddaughters, Margie Ryder, Lisa Persinger, Suzanne Ostling and Tammy Varela for their care, love, and support of our mom during her courageous battle with cancer, Rev. Benjamin and Hazel Lockhart and Kevin and Judy Young. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Thursday, January 22, 2015 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow in Springwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service. 540-254-3000
