Margie Ann Petty Barley

Margie Petty Barley, 76, of Buchanan, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Stacy Barley; parents, Hubert "Shorty" and Katherine Petty; and brothers, Donnie and Roger Petty. She was an avid Bill Elliot fan and managed Happy Food Mart for 18 years. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim Barley; daughter, Stacey Barley Cash and husband, Terry; precious grandchildren, Hannah "Bug" Morrow, Dustyn "Bubba" Cash, and Anna "Miss Pretty" Cash; brother, Gerald Petty and wife, Edith; and numerous nephews. Special thanks to Lynn, Teresa, and Erica of Medi Home Hospice for their kind and loving care. Also her special caregivers Sherri Taylor, Missy Walker, Kendall Ratliff, Karen Bierer, and Nichole Purcell for their unconditional devotion during her illness. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
