Marcus Lee Simpson

Marcus Lee Simpson, 94, a lifetime resident of Fincastle, Va., was born December 15, 1928 and passed away Friday, July 21, 2023. Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, Osborne Marcus and Elsie Paxton Simpson; sister, Peggy Simpson Craft; and son, Mark Simpson. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Ernie Stacey, Rhonda and Ronnie Benson; and he was blessed with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Marcus retired from Singer Furniture and loved hunting, fishing, and working in his gardens. He will be deeply missed by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan. Interment will follow in Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service at the funeral home.
