Maggie Kathleen Hiner Bower

Maggie Kathleen Bower went home to be the Lord, Jesus Christ on March 16, 2016. Maggie was born on June 11, 1917 in Botetourt Co, Va. to Shelburn and Annie Hiner. Maggie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Sidney L. Bower, also her parents, her son, Donald W. Bower, and her brothers and sisters: Russell, Nellie, Alma, Ruth, and Clarence. Maggie is survived by her daughter, Anita Miles; granddaughters, Susan Niday and Linita Woolfolk; grandson, Kevin Bower; great-grandchildren, Joshua Niday, Stephen Niday, Sarah Walden and Brianna Walden;great-great granddaughter, Laken Ayers; one remaining brother, Marvin Hiner; her precious sister-in-law, Marywillie Hodges; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Brentwood Baptist Church, 3912 Plantation Road NE, Roanoke, Va 24012 with Pastor Rodney Spears officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
