Lucy Ann Wheeler Parker

Lucy Ann Wheeler Parker, 70, of Troutville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Lucy was the owner of Parker Refuse Service and had worked as a cafeteria manager for Troutville Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. David Parker, Sr. in 2013; son, Elmer D. Parker, Jr. last March, 2014; parents, Obie K. and Amanda Johnson Wheeler; sisters, Pat Keister, Dot Whitt, and Jean McGuire; brothers, Buddy Wheeler, Pete Wheeler, and Obie Wheeler. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Doris Jean and Gary Mullins of Troutville, and Bonnie Parker of Roanoke; sisters and brother-in-law, Judy Mitchell of Pulaski, Jane and Alvin Thomas of Daleville; brother, Huey and Evelyn Wheeler of Amelia; grandchildren, Misty Parker, Summer (Justin) Pippert, April Parker, Josh (Kaitlyn) Parker, Marcus (Rachel) Parker, and Stormy Parker; great-grandchildren, Jace Pippert, Isis Parker, Kylie Pippert, Rylee Parker, Araya Parker, and one on the way, Raelynn Parker. Funeral Services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. The family will receive friends Monday, July 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan.
