Lowell Lee Wood

Lowell Lee Wood, 77, of Fincastle, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. He retired from Roanoke Cement with over 30 years of service. He was a childhood member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a dedicated member of Wheatland Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Florence Wood, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Corrine Goad Wood; children, Tony Wood and Penny Long; Connie Wood Hayes and fiancé, Kevin Loope; Tim Wood and Sharon Leighow; Tracy Wood and fiancé, Misty Adams; grandchildren, Ariel Wood, Jared Hayes, Tyler Wood, Logan Hayes, and also, Andrew Long, Meagan Long, and Avery Wirt; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linnie Wood; brothers-in-law, Mike (Cathy) Goad and Gary (Kathy) Goad; sister-in-law, Rosalie Goad; and special dog companion, Willie. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Friday, January 26, 2018 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Chuck Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Wheatland Lutheran Church Cemetery. Those wishing to make a contribution, please consider Wheatland Lutheran Church.
