Louis Edward Smith

Louis Edward Smith, 83, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Nelva Smith and grandson, James Louis Smith. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Nicely Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Clay Coleman of Fincastle; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Lisa Smith of Salem; James "Peanut" and Laura Smith of Buchanan; grandchildren, Amy Coleman, Chandler Smith, Garrett and Hannah McMillan; siblings and spouses, Betty Johnson, Cecil and Pearl Smith, Patsy and Butch Neil, Billy Smith, and Roy and Kathy Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Woody and Rev. Robert McRae officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel UMC Cemetery on US220 North. The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Wednesday.
