Lottie Marshall Crawford, 71, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014. Lottie was the founding owner and operator of Marshalls Grocery on South Buffalo Road in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Estil and Edith Virginia Kelley Long; brother, Larry Long; niece, Sharon Sloan; and brother-in-law, Roger Helmick. Survivors include her husband of 14 years, Garland Ray Crawford; son and daughter-in-law, David (Dreamaus) Housman of Goodview; Dorothy Thompson of Bedford; step-children, Theresa (Kenneth) Stevens of Troutville; Daniel Crawford of Troutville, Raymond (Carrie) Crawford of Roanoke; brother, George Robert Long of Lexington; sisters and brother-in-law; Sylvia Helmick of Lexington, Shelia (Wayne) Sloan of Lexington; granddaughters, Kayla Thompson and Alicia Housman; step-granddaughter, Brandi (Jason) Duncan; great-grandchildren, Corbin and Riley; aunts, Helen Bramblett, Helen Long, Pauline Kelley, and Myrtle Kelley; numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Patsy R. Landes; and caregiver, Pam. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2014 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan, Va. with Rev. Harold E. Cook, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Rapps Mill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 28, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm.
