Loleta June Phlegar

Loleta June Phlegar, 80, of Roswell, GA, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013. Born in Buchanan, VA on September 28, 1932, she was the only child of Paul Thomas Phlegar and Virginia Thalia Wallace Phlegar. She raised her four children, June Johnson Goodsell, Crystal Johnson Kidd, Kim L. Blankenship, and Joel S. Blankenship in Roanoke, VA. She then worked for and retired from Franklin Templeton Mutual Funds in St. Petersburg, FL. Upon her retirement, she moved to the Atlanta area. She is survived by all of her children, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Despite her difficult life, she had a unique ability to rise above any trying circumstances. She was always a natural beauty, both inner and outer, and had a great dry sense of humor. Loleta had an unparalleled love for animals, especially cats, and always had at least one. She will be missed but never forgotten. Graveside services will be held 11 am Friday, May 3, 2013 in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Marina Gopadze officiating, where she will rest alongside her mother, maternal grandparents, and aunt.
