Lois Huffman Painter

Lois Huffman Painter, 82, of Buchanan, VA, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ethel Huffman; husband, Eugene "Fritz" Painter; nine siblings; and special friend, Cecil Wymer. She was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters, Dr. Linda C. Painter of Carrollton, GA and Sandy F. O'Connor of Mechanicsville, VA; son, Larry E. Painter of Hagerstown, MD; sister, Josephine H. Martin of Lexington, VA; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center-Elizabeth Adam Crump, Glen Allen, VA and Aseracare Hospice, Richmond, VA for the compassionate care for their mother during her stay in the Crump nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 30 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aseracare Hospice, 8001 Franklin Farms Dr., Suite 206, Richmond, VA 23229. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, VA (254-3000).
