Lisa Benedict Mccray

Lisa Benedict McCray, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at her home in Buchanan. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald A. McCray and brother and sister-in-law, Rett and Michelle Benedict of Albuquerque, New Mexico, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A lifelong educator, Lisa enriched the lives of students in Botetourt County, Salem City Schools, and Virginia Western Community College. Lisa will be sadly missed by her family and friends who admired her for her kindness, generosity, and tireless volunteer work for numerous organizations. A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at the McCray home, 461 Oak Ridge Rd., Buchanan, VA on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2pm. Arrangements by Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, 254-3000
