Linda Mays Rice

On July 30, 2014 at 10:20 p.m. God put his arms around Linda Gusler Mays Rice and brought her through the gates of Heaven. Linda was born on June 24, 1951 to Mae Gusler and Arthur Gusler. Her family includes sisters, Barbara (Dale) Harris, Patricia (Tom) Arrington, Sue Gusler and her twin, Brenda Gusler. Linda has two children: Maggie Mays and Jessee (Brandy) Mays, and grandchildren: Tanner Brammer, Steven and Jessica Mays. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and special niece, Dorrisa, as well as extended members of the Mays family of Eagle Rock. Linda's past employment includes Wattstull Restaurant where she started working at age 15, Eagle Rock Restaurant, Ingersoll Rand, Gala Industries (15 years), ITT (10 years) and homemaker. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, working in and around her flower garden, her pets and music. She especially enjoyed Ginger, her Pug. The family would like to give a special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice and Dr. Janet Osborne. Arrangements are being handled by Botetourt Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral home.
