Lawrence Landon Baker

Lawrence Landon Baker, 85, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, May 2, 2022. He was retired from C&P/Bell Atlantic Telephone Company. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Helen Baker; daughter, Susan Alderman; sister, Norine Utt; brother and sister-in-law, James and Peggy Baker; brother-in-law, Carty Young. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Gretchen Lipes Baker; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Connie Baker, Alan and Diane Baker; grandchildren, Adam Alderman, Caleb Baker, Tyler Crosier, Ryan (Abi) Baker; and Allison Baker; great-grandson, Marcus Baker; son-in-law, David Alderman; sister, Ina Young; brother, Philip Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with funeral services at 1pm on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Nicely officiating.
