Kimberly Alyssa Nicole Dixon

Kimberly Alyssa Nicole Dixon, 16, of Roanoke, Virginia, was loaned to us by the angels on October 16, 2003. She returned to her heavenly home on March 8, 2020, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was at home surrounded by her family who loved her. Alyssa (Kim) was a loving and compassionate person who loved to make others smile and feel loved. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up any room she entered. Her heart and soul were pure and full of love that shined from the inside out. No matter how sick she was, she was always trying to make everyone happy and kept the best spirit of anyone. Seeing others happy is what meant most to her. She is preceded in death by a very special cousin who was also her best friend, Joseph Gilmer, who she will be reunited with. She is survived by her parents, Tracy and David Dixon, the Grice Family, her godfather, Randall York, grandparents, Willard and Judy Mattox and Norma and James Dixon, brothers, Brenden Grice and Zachery Minter, sister, Delana Hollaway, aunts/uncles, Deborah and Hector Vazquez and family, Tamika and Travis Kennedy and family, Victoria and Gary Woody and their children, and Roxanne Weisinger and her daughter, her best friends, Angel Whitlock, Shamyra Brown, and Sierra Dilcher, along with many other friends and family members. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan. Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 am, in Troutville Baptist Church.
