Kenneth Warren May

Kenneth Warren May, 85, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017. He was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School. He served in the Marine Corps from 1950 to 1952 and remained in the Corps Reserves from 1952 until 1960. He began work with Piedmont Airlines in 1953 and retired from USAir in 1991. He is preceded in death by his parents Medford and Helen McCuen May and siblings Frances, Thomas and Vivian; and his wife, Betty Ann Montgomery May, who passed away in April of 2017. Survivors include his children; Ann; Alan and his wife, Peggy of Lynchburg; Steven of Kissimmee, FL; and Robert and fiancée Debbie; his sister Nancy and her husband Ralph Hickman; brother in law, Charles Montgomery; sisters-in- law, Mary Bryant; Doris and Roddy Doss of Winter Haven, FL; Margaret and Dr. James Nathe of Waynesboro; Grace and Walter Alexander; Sara and Donald Britt and Gwen Montgomery; numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Woody officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan.
