Karl Eugene Keith

Karl "Pops" Eugene Keith, 82, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Keith; parents, Luther and Zettie Keith; sons, Gary Wayne and David Keith; brothers, William, Curtis, and Gerald Keith; and sister, Janie Horne. He was a life member of the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department for over 45 years and a caretaker of Fairview Cemetery for over 25 years. He is survived by his sons, Timothy, Paul, Lawrence (Kim), Greg (Melody), and Michael Keith; grandchildren, Shawn, Kacie, Nicole, Elizabeth, and Dora; great-grandchildren, Ricky, Bryan, Shelburn, Bradley, and Luke; special friend and ex-wife, Ramona Keith; sisters, Garnet Haynes, Marie Austin, Ruth (Tommy) Holley, and Kathy (Bob) Semales; sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Frances, and Helen Keith; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Russell and Cindy Floyd, Larry and Stephanie Falls. Special thanks to Carilion Roanoke Memorial and the doctors and nurses in palliative care for following Karl's wishes. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm with memorial services at 4pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 with Chaplain Ray Sloan officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
