Julia Katherine Trail Austin

Julia Katherine Trail Austin, 87, of Buchanan, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Peter Austin; parents, James and Docia Trail; brothers, Walter, Jimmy, Leonard, and Raymond Trail; sisters, Marie Evans, Evelyn Trail, and Susie Painter. She was a lifelong member of Buchanan Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda A. and Roger L. Layman of Troutville; Kathy and Dennis Wiley of Buchanan; son, Mike Austin of Buchanan; grandchildren, Heather and Larry Wilson, Derek and Christina Wiley, and Kara Wiley; great-grandchildren, Austin and Lauren Wilson and Ryan Wiley; brother, Clarence Trail of Buchanan; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Jerry Cox of Waynesboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Martin, Mr. Leroy Whorley, and Derek Wiley officiating.
