Joyce Ann Wagner

Joyce Wagner of Troutville VA died Thursday October 26, 2017 peacefully at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, she was age 77. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Wagner. Joyce is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Wagner of Troutville VA; daughter, Kimberly Wagner Helbling, son in law, Tim Helbling and adored grandson, James Helbling of Lynchburg, VA. Joyce was born on January 28th, 1940 in Bluefield VA. She spent most of her youth in Bluefield. She lived and worked in Richmond VA before moving to the Roanoke area in 1968. Joyce was loved by many friends and extended family. She has 3 remaining siblings Barry Sarver of Dryen VA, William Sarver of Denton, MD and Millie Sarver Witt of Halifax, VA. Joyce was a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was very loyal to her friends and family. She loved cooking and sharing her meals, desserts and preserves with everyone. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Saturday November 11th at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Fincastle VA, Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, then immediately following the service a lunch reception will be held in the church's fellowship hall. Joyce's brother Barry Sarver will co-officiate the ceremony with JR Graybill and Bob Hetherington. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce's life. Joyce was a dedicated member of Mill Creek Baptist Church for many years.
