John Robert Drummond

John Robert Drummond, 77, of Eagle Rock, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harrison and Irene Merritt Drummond and sisters, Betty Chambers and Nancy Crowder. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Ruth Rusmisle Drummond; step-daughter, Diane "Rick" Demello of Manassas; step-sons, Robert Hodge of Myrtle Beach, SC, Frankie "Linda" Hodge, Conway, SC, and Gary Hodge of Badin, NC; brother, Hugh Drummond of Eagle Rock; sisters, Mary Sue "Everett" Craft of Troutville, and Nellie "Bruce" Friel of Glasgow; brothers-in-law, Harold Chambers and Bobby Crowder; five step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Forest Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry A. Marsh officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forest Grove Baptist Church, 693 Mt. Moriah Road, Eagle Rock, VA 24085.
