Jo Etta Marie Tashler Preston

Jo Etta Marie Taschler Preston, 72, of Eagle Rock, Virginia, formerly of Charleston,WV, died on May 21st, 2012, at home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Loretta Taschler, and brother Joseph Taschler, III She is survived by her husband, Joe Preston, daughters Debra C. Coleman (David), Vickie M.McBride (David), and son Patrick J. Preston (Tracy), sisters Carol Harkins (Jim) of Portland, Oregon, Mary Louise "Cookie" Gorman (John) and Frances Rita Casserly (Ray) of Houston, Texas, Christeen Courtney (Bill) of Charleston, Kathleen Joseph (Tom) of West Chester, Ohio, Karen Hancart (Eliot) of Westerville, Ohio and Kimberly Kraft of Charleston, grandchildren Fred, Ashley, Joshua, Blake, Spencer, Amber and Erin and great grandchildren Alex, Julien, (Amber) and Gabriella(Erin). She graduated from Charleston Catholic High School and St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked as an RN at St. Francis, CAMC Memorial, C&P Telephone, Children's Hospital of Columbus,Ohio, Santa Rosa Medical Center in San Antonio,TX, EI Camino Hospital, Mt. View, CA" the US Army Hospital in Bremerhaven, Germany, and NASA Dryden, where she managed the Center Clinic. While at Dryden she was on the Primary Medical Recovery Team for the test flights and the first twenty six SST (Space Shuttle Missions). .
