Jerry Lewis Barnett

Jerry Lewis Barnett, 74, of Daleville, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Jerry was a loving father, brother, best friend, but most of all the best Paw Paw ever created. Jerry had many lifelong friends which is a true testament to his kind and selfless spirit. He was always positive and rarely met someone who didn’t become a friend. Jerry loved his two grandsons more than words can express. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider.

Jerry worked and retired from VA Truck Center, formerly Fruehauf, in Botetourt for 45 years.

Jerry is preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Marti” Barnett and mother and father, Frances and Jack Barnett. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amy Evans; two grandsons, Hunter Lewis and Holden Evans; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Freddie Patsel, Faye and Henry Tabor; brother, Norman “Bo” Barnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
